This guide shows you how to reset service indicator use Mercedes-Benz model as follows: models 203 and 209 (C-class and CLK-class), models 204 andX204 (C-class and GLK-class), Model 211 up to 8/31/2003 (E class), Model 211 as of 09/01/2003 (E class), Model 219 (CLS class), models 221 and 216 (S-class and CL-class), Model 171 (SLK class), Model 230 up for MY2007 (SL class) Model 230 (SL-class from MY2008 to present), models 164, X 164 and 251 (M-class, GL-class and R class). Reset Service indicator steps: 1. Insert the key in the ignition, switch to position "1". 2. press buttons or repeatedly until the mileage shown within MFDs display. 3. press the cluster illumination button (1) 3 times in short succession. Battery voltage display and an acoustic signal will sound. 4. Turn the key in the ignition to position "2" 5. Press the buttons up, until the service menu appears. 6. touch cluster lighting (1) once. Oil Type menu appears. 7. use the buttons to choose the oil used for the service. 8. press the buttons up to confirm. The display will show: "reset oil confirmation. Press the R button for 3 seconds. " 9. press and hold the button cluster lighting (1) in 3 seconds. The message "Service confirmed" is displayed.
